Insurance: I do not work directly with insurances, so please call and ask your insurance company before we meet to find out about their rate for out of network providers/ self reimbursement. It is often very reasonable! You will be able to submit the statement for reimbursement or "superbill," if you choose to use your insurance to recoup your costs. Some people choose to not submit to their insurance for various reasons.
Cost:The first initial appointment typically lasts an hour and a half for the rate of $325 (90791 billing code). The subsequent appointments vary, and often people begin with meeting weekly for sessions that are approximately 53 minutes (90837 billing code) for $195 per session.
Availability: I typically don't book out more than a month at a time, because people's treatment needs can change in the course of a month. My current office hours are Monday thru Thursdays 9am and last appointment is 4pm.
How long and how often will we meet?: It depends on your treatment goals, the stability you feel at this moment and the complexity of your situation. Together we will determine the length and frequency of therapy. Some people work "intensively" to feel better sooner then reduce the amount of sessions, some people take breaks and return, and some come for a short term goal and end therapy.
Next Steps: I offer a brief phone consultation to answer questions and to help us both determine if I am an appropriate and good fit for your needs. Please feel free to email me to set up that consultation or to ask other questions.
Can I have the therapy dog in session?: The first appointment and intake session will not include the therapy dog. After we meet I will determine if you are a good fit for canine assisted therapy services and also if there is space available in the times that she is scheduled to come. She only comes part time to the office. It is not a guarantee that this service will be offered or available.
